HandlPay lets you receive crypto payments from anyone in the world using just your social media username; there’s no need to share bank details or crypto addresses. To start receiving, you need to create an account and connect a receiving wallet.

Create an account

Your social media username becomes your payment handle, so HandlPay authenticates you through a platform you already use.
1

Sign in at app.handlpay.com

Visit app.handlpay.com and click Login / Sign Up.
2

Choose a sign-in method

Select one of the supported platforms:
  • Gmail
  • Instagram
  • WhatsApp
  • Telegram
  • X (Twitter)
Signing in with X is not recommended. Due to recent X API policy changes, DM notifications for payments and account updates are currently unavailable.
You are redirected to a secure authorization screen for the platform you chose.
3

Accept the authorization request

HandlPay requests access to your basic profile information only. Tap Accept to complete sign-in and return to the app.
HandlPay does not receive your password and cannot post, send messages, or access private content on your behalf.

Your account dashboard

After signing in, you land on your HandlPay dashboard. From here you can:
  • Access and manage your receiving wallets
  • View supported networks and asset balances
  • Perform wallet actions such as send, receive, swap, or bridge (support for more assets is coming soon)
Your account is active now, but you must connect a receiving wallet before you can accept payments.

Connect a receiving wallet

HandlPay supports receiving wallets on Polygon, Base, and Canton Network, with more chains to be added soon.
1

Open the wallet connection flow

On your dashboard, tap + Add or + Connect Canton Wallet. Both options open the same wallet connection flow.
2

Set up or import a wallet

  • To create a new Canton Network wallet within the app, use an invite code.
  • To connect an existing wallet on Polygon or Base, follow the connection prompts.
Once connected, supported assets for that network appear automatically, and your wallet address is displayed in a masked format with balances shown per asset.
For Canton Network wallets created in the HandlPay app, we recommend creating yours using your Google handle on desktop or your Telegram handle on mobile.

Understanding self-custodial wallets

When you create a Canton Network wallet inside HandlPay, it is fully self-custodial. HandlPay does not store your private key. Your private key is encrypted and stored locally on your device, protected by biometrics or device security.
Export your private key immediately after creating your wallet. If you lose access to your device or browser without your private key, your funds cannot be recovered by you or by HandlPay.
Store your private key:
  • Offline (written down or printed)
  • In a secure password manager
  • Never share it with anyone
If you switch browsers or devices, you must import your private key to access your wallet. Wallet access does not automatically sync across browsers or devices.
Do not create your wallet in incognito or private browsing mode. These sessions delete local storage when they end. If you created your wallet in incognito without exporting your private key, that wallet is permanently inaccessible.
Passcodes cannot be created when setting up wallets via the Telegram desktop app or via in-app browsers such as Instagram or WhatsApp.

Manage your receiving wallets

Each connected wallet lists the assets it supports. Use the three-dot menu next to any asset to perform actions.
  • Swap — Convert supported assets (for example, USDC to HANDL)
  • View balances and transaction availability
Available actions may vary based on asset type, network, and account status.

Current limitation: one social profile per account

At this time, you can only connect one social media profile per HandlPay account. Your sign-in method authenticates your account, and payments are routed to your connected receiving wallet. Support for multiple social profiles on a single account will be added soon.
